If you happened to miss the Airblaster BoardGames at Timberline last Saturday, you probably have already heard that it was more of a gathering than a competition. While we awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, head judge Travis Parker made it clear that the winner would be chosen based only on creativity, enthusiasm and good vibes; no spin to win here, folks. In the end, everyone walked away with a prize and a reminder of why they snowboard: to have fun. Course designers, Ricky Hower and Jesse Grandkoski, decided there was no need for any rails or tabletops, just hips and spines that you rip in the true spirit of freestyle snowboarding! Here are a couple photos from the event courtesy of our friend Spencer Morgan Knuttila. Travis Parker showed up to judge everyone's fun levels! Airblaster co-founder Jesse Grandkoski and employee Joe Torsey discussing what line they were taking to out-fun each other.Regular Guy, Ricky Hower, put together the most unique Airblaster BoardGames to date.Capturing the catching of Airtime. Airblaster ripper, Max Warbington, showed up for some good time! There was not a scarcity of methods during the event, I noticed everyone tweaked at least one out during the event. Logy B showed up to tweak some out. Jesse breaking out his method! Poler owner, Kurt Vella, showed up to spread the #funvibes! Catching beach rays! Yep, inverts were everywhere. Relaxin' slash.
