Travis Parker

Tuesday, May 04, 2010
As many of your know Travis Parker is one of the founding members of Airblaster. Travis is a major part of our brand and a active member both on and off the board! Travis is a major shredder and I am sure many of you are familiar with his skills. During a internet surfing mission I found this little edit. Many clips I am sure you have already watched but they are classic and worth watching again. Thanks again Travis!

It’s Snowing Somewhere

Peter Mullenbach

Just because it’s April doesn’t mean snowboarding needs to be pushed to the back burner. With a recent storm ripping through the Pacific Northwest April played host to snowboard friendly activities from beginning to end. Thanks to Pirate Movie Productions, and Airblaster, Seattle University was able to throw a successful end of the year snowboard premier to celebrate the recent dump and round out the season.

On April, 15 Seattle University’s Outdoor recreation Department hosted “It’s Snowing Somewhere,” an end of the year snowboard movie premier. Sick raffles and handouts greeted the die hards who showed up to watch Jolly Roger and the Airblaster Movie.

When the lights turned on it was time to stoke the kiddies on some physical product to take home and show their homies. While simple raffle tickets decided the recipients of several smaller goodies, a couple intense rock, paper, scissor competitions pronounced the lucky financially challenged college students with much needed snowboards thanks to Gnu and K2.

A great way to close out the season here in Washington State. Thank you to Pirate Productions and Airblaster for supplying the films and to Airblaster, Capita, Union, Gnu and K2 for allowing the kids to go home happy. Thank you for supporting snowboarding!

Airblaster woud like to point out that we find the facial expression on the guy towards the right of this image to be awesome!

AIRTEAM WINNER!

Monday, May 03, 2010

It has been a long time since we posted the monthly winner of the Airteam contest. We have been picking winners, just not posting it on the blog. We are sorry for this. This month the winner is Hobie Ponting. Hobie is from the great state of Wisconsin and he takes home a new pair of SunGoggles. This is a product yet to be released and they are amazing. They are the answer for wanting to shred with sunglasses but still retain some of the advantages of goggles. Check them out in your local shop soon, they kick major tweak! Hobie, your gear is in the mail. For more about joining the Airteam check it out under here.

Monday Trivia #8

Monday, May 03, 2010

Back again for another week is monday trivia. This week our question is:

Can our Airblaster CFO do a 900?

If you know the answer to the above question send us a email at information@myairblaster.com.

Last week we did not have a winner. The reason we did not have a winner is because the SUNS won the game, so we all lose.

Skateboarding!!

Saturday, May 01, 2010
Just spent a second and watched another great video from The Berrics. As you all know Airblaster loves snowboarding but we also love skateboarding. Sure, we skateboard for fun and are not really involved to much in the industry or scene but we have total respect for it. To be honest after watching this video it makes me really wonder about snowboarding. The sport is insane and some of the stuff guys like Jed Anderson, Nick Dirks and more are doing is great. What I wonder about it what if the team riders for Plan B skateboards back in the day decided to be 100% commited snowboarders?? Would they be as good as Nick and Jed, would they be better or would they be not as good?? Of course we will never know but after watching this video I can only say what the @#$%!

Backflips, Grabs and so much more!

Saturday, May 01, 2010
Yesterday marked the end of our 3rd annual Great Grab Off!!! We got hundreds of great photos. Below are a couple shots recently sent in that are ripping! Thanks to everyone that entered and we will now start to sift through the masses of photos. We do want to say sorry now for the fact that we will not be able to post every single photo we received. We want to but we just can not post all the shorts and we are sorry for this. The first step in the process will be to go through every email and photo and narrow it down to a smaller group. With these we will make a slide show presentation for everyone to enjoy. At this time all the owners and founders of Airblaster will vote for their top favorites. Thanks again everyone and we are already stoked for next season. Remember that the winners will be taking home some major Airblaster swag so cross your fingers it will be you!

A couple of the shots above are backflips so they actually do not count for the grab contest. We are including them here because we feel they are awesome and want the world to see them. Please note that Airblaster does not encourage backflips. We love them but they are dangerous so we suggest that you leave them up to the professionals.

Nick Dirks in Austria

Friday, April 30, 2010

When the volcano in Eyjafjallajokull erupted it halted international air travel, which was a plus for these guys. Airblaster rider Nick Dirks and friends enjoyed an extra day of shredding in Austria after attending Kamp K2. Check it out!
