As the Resourceful Gnome crew finished up with an early start at the Dirksen Derby, they decided to head out to Colorado in search of some powder. They gathered the crew -Dirksen, Travis, Ben Lynch and Brandon Cocard- and made their way to Silverton, CO. The Resourceful Gnome's website has the full update on the split board adventure. I normally do not get excited about Iphone apps but one recently made me laugh really hard. It is called Brain Scanner. It is a simple joke app that you use to play pranks on your friends and family. You act like your phone can read a persons mind and when they tell you that you are full of it you dare them to try it. The app then instructs them to place it against their forehead while it tries to read their mind. In the end it just says some funny things that makes your friend feel really silly and everyone laughs at them for believing it would work. It is well worth the 99cents and man it was funny to play on many of my friends. It was hilarious. Ok, back to work now.

Back by popular demand is our Best Comment Contest. Last week we had a great time and the comments made us smile like you would not believe. We have not even been able to pick a winner because they are all so good. Thanks a bunch for keeping the comments clean and appropriate. We are stoked at the creative and unique responses we get, good stuff. This week is another great photo taken during the making of Airblaster's August. After filming the movie and on the last day of HCSC snowboard camp Airblaster took a day and went skiing. Sure, we are all snowboarders but we have nothing against skiing. After all we would probably not have snowboarding if it was not for skiing. So, to mix it up a bit we strapped on the boots and went skiing. The photo below is of Sebi and TJ both on their first day skiing ever! I guess it is not so hard, ha ha. The jump they are hitting was about 35 feet long and impressive for their first day. Austin Hironaka who has skied before was the only person who got freestyle skies(aka twin tips) and he wa able to get about 5-6 feet out of the super pipe! Let the comments fly on this one!

If you have not heard yet Travis Parker is BACK! Well he is back at making movies with his friends! Travis and the gang have started a new production company called Resourceful Gnome.The first movie release from these guys is going to be called Respect Your Elders. This is a new movie concept that involves snowboard trips with young up and coming rippers going along with some of our sports legends. People like Ben Lynch, Brandon Cocard, Jed Anderson, Nick Dirks, Austin Hironaka all shredding right along side legends like Travis Parker, Temple Cummins, Josh Dirksen, Mike Basich and more. This new movie will be in stores and online starting in the fall. Travis will be shredding his brains out making this the best movie to come out since well, forever!

Here is a little something special. This movie was made by Travis Parker years ago. It was also the insperation of the Insane Blade Airblaster T-shirt a few years back. Great stuff.
