Baker Lens!

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Airblaster introduces the BAKER LENS.

Snowboard goggles are made with Two lenses. There is a outer lens and a inner lens. These two lenses are glued together with a small strip of foam between them. In addition to the two lens design many goggles have a Chrome mirror coating on the outside and the Airblaster Airgoggle is no exception. As many people know this chrome mirror coating can be very sensitive to scratches. New for 2009/10 season Airblaster has designed a solution to this problem. The BAKER LENS is the most bullet proof goggle lens design on the market.

The new design is simple. Airblaster has switched out the position of the clear lens. Normally the clear is on the inside but now on the new BAKER LENS you will find the clear lens on the outside. This puts a clear non chrome lens in the place that gets the most abuse. Behind this lens is the tinted chrome mirror coated lens. With its position on the outside of the inside lens the chrome is now sealed inside the two lenses and can not be harmed.

The new BAKER LENS is bullet proof(not an actual bullet, we use only to reference that they are very very very strong). It is a true 100+ days a season lens. You can not rube the chrome off this lens. The new design is now available as a replacement lens on the Airblaster online store and these replacement lenses fit all Airblaster goggles.

Airblaster hits ASR

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

So, Melissa and I decided to trek down to San Diego to ASR.  Not really to go to ASR, but just to take advantage of the fact that a lot of our Airblaster riders were going to be at ASR or between ASR and Portland.  Also to hit a few movie premiers.

First stop was Lake Tahoe, CA where we met up with Ben Lynch, Travis Parker, and Betsy the sweet brown dog.  The five of us proceeded down to Mercey Hot Springs for a day of camping and relaxing in some beautiful desert hot springs.

Travis, Betsy, and Ben at the black widow camp spot.

Target practice with the good ol' Red Rider.

After the hot springs decompression session, we headed down to Sunset Beach and met up with Nick Dirks and Jonas Michilot.  They had just returned from a trip in the Redwoods National Monument, where they had temporarily turned themselves into gnomes.  Resourceful Gnomes.

The crew at Sunset Beach State Park.

Jonas and Nick raced on to the Videograss premier, while the rest of us moseyed on down the coast.  We had caught the Portland premier of Videograss, and it is not one to be missed!

Overlook on Highway 1.

Ben Lynch, eat and run.

Ben and Jesse, feeling the vibe.

Well, that is the end of our story for now.  We did make it to San Diego.  Our camera broke or something.  We met up with Jed Anderson and Will Bateman, and ate some nice crab and chowda.  These guys are awesome.  Check out the Cheesedicks website to see some of the action that Jed captured.  Anyway, trade shows and trade show photos are highly overrated.  Road trips and camping are underrated.  Summer is almost over, so its time for you to get on the road.  See you there.

Check out Ben Lynch, Nick Dircks, Jonas Michilot and the rest of the team in THE AIRBLASTER MOVIE available now!

Check out this Link about Austin Smith. Austin is a ripper that riders for Airblaster Ninja Suits. He designed his own personal pro model suit this season based off his favorite rock and roll star Ted Nugent. Ted is a avid outdoors man and he hunts more then most people. He is often dressed in Camo gear and well, that is what Austin wanted on his pro ninja suit. Check out the suit by clicking HERE!

Product Testing!

Monday, September 14, 2009

Check out this short video clip. Our friends over at Yo Beat are doing some real life product testing. This little video is just a taste of the types of testing that will be going on. You will notice some of our gear being used in the shower and while bike riding. Yes, the Ninja Suit is amazing even for riding around on your bike. I am not sure when the final video and results will be out but keep posted.
