Forever chemicals are not compatible with our vision of the future. 100% of our products are made without the use of PFC or PFAS, including PFOA / PFOS / PFCA. All DWR (durable water repellency) coatings are PFAS-free C0 technology.

All of our black lining taffeta—by far our highest usage fabric—is either 100% recycled or 100% solution dye.
In solution dye process, color pigment is added into molten nylon or poly, before the fiber is spun. This increases color longevity and results in up to 90% reduction in water usage and CO2 emission over traditional wet dye process.

Almost half of Airblaster shell and main body fabrics are also recycled. To be specific: 47% of Airblaster garment styles use recycled main body fabric, consisting ofbetween 92-100% recycled content. Check the SUSTAINABILITY tab within any product page to view product specifics.

Airblaster is an independently owned outdoor clothing company. We care about the future. We don’t answer to shareholders’ demands for profit and growth at all cost. We do take showers, but we don’t greenwash. We are on a mission to slowly and steadily improve the sustainability of everything we make, and our current offering
stacks up very well, even against outdoor companies who claim green manufacturing as their primary marketing campaign.

One way to have a significant eco-friendly impact is to buy fewer new things. Quality used gear is readily available for most activities!

When you do purchase a new product, do your research well, and make an informed purchase. You vote with your dollars, so vote wisely. Airblaster products are designed and built to last for many years of service. Please treat your gear well (or at least service it regularly) and when you’re done with it, pass it along or recycle it properly.
